Hey all,

My car is already lowered with the 1.5" FRPP springs and shock combo for 06+ (part # has zx3B in it or something like that). My problem is that with my 16x7 40mm offset rotas and 205/50/r16 tires theres still too much gap!

Id like to do coils, but that wont be in the budget for a long time...

What is a great spring to use with the FRPP shocks? They already seem a little soft for my tastes. Can I do a 2" drop? What spring rates should I look for? (06+ springs only please!)

Pic related: its the problem

well if you want a big drop the sportlines would be the way to go but with your offset wheels it is going to rub bad i would say.

Yeah I dont rub at all now. Wondering how much lower I can go? Maybe .5" with a stiffer spring would keep that balanced?

If you want a greater drop, you may want to try the Tein S-Techs. Thats what im running and should be fine with the FRPP struts. The Eibach SportLines would be good too.

Hmm both of those look to be about the right drop, I know the eibachs are a progressive rate vs. fixed for the teins. Also, will the S-Techs fit on the 06+ strut?

They should have them that fit by application.

What's the offset of your wheels. I agree that with previous comments that there's a very real chance of rubbing based on your photos. PS I like the "Panasport" vintage wheel look. Most people probably don't know that that design goes back 40 to 50 years!!! It was one of the first alloy wheels used in racing a long time ago. Its a classic!

They are 40mm offset, and strangely havent rubbed at all when my last combo (215/45/17 on 17x7 with 49mm offset) would at times. And thanks! Thats why I love these, vintage race cars are drool-worthy.
