Lighted door tray thingy?

I had an idea, and finally got bored enough to do it!

And the 15 buck LED strip from wal-mart.

and my lighted center tray.

nice location for lights and great install! I thought about doing something similar in the door jam(if possible haven't really looked yet) to illuminate when the door opens! good job man!

thanks a lot man, it actually was kinda difficult. ran into some pain in the a$$ problems to run the wires through the door.

and im sure it wouldnt be to hard to light up the door jam.
if you go to RadioShack they should probably have all the switches and things for it, thats where i get most of my things.

What power source in the door you connect it to? The power windows?

It turns on when i turn my headlights on.
I wired it to the headlight switches

I dont have power anything, so i had to run it through the door and into the headlight switch.

Ah very nice...Same here no power. Id have to do the same thing. And I probably will seeing as everything else in my car lights up so i mind as well do that too. But not till spring.

COME ON FORD!!! alot of other s model vehicles today have power windows, locks and alarms. get it together

haha i honestly think ford has some of the better looking cars on the road today, they just need to pick it up in some other areas. they sit behind mopar in my mind.
