i thought the same thing untill i got a qtip and whiped up some of the oil and took a look at it and smelled it ,lol. its not motor oil , normaly you can smell the gas in the oil and it smelled more like brake or power stering fluid oil. i dont want to take it to the dealer and have them do warenty work till i know what is wrong first.

is it seeping out of the valve cover? if so then it's not brake fluid. Valve cover leaks are a very common occurence with our cars. Does it look like oil? lol cuz if it looks like it it prob is. Especially in that area.

well lets see if i can explain where it coming out of. if your looking at the motor its going to be on the right hand side of the motor. now its about 3 inches below the middle of the valve cover, and there looks to be eather a baring or somthing of that sort that takes a alenwrench to unscrew it.

gotta be the thermostat housing then if it's not oil. That is common to leak as well.

Yeah them pictures are tiny. I agree w/ nov, if it's not oil it's most likely the thermostat housing. Although you have a 07, which I don't believe those had any problem w/ them.
So who knows? Bigger pictures.

^^^ tried to give ya a rep but the forum wont let me , sorry bud. as for what im going to do, not sure yet. i know i would like to get a fs turbo kit in 2 years so ive been thinking of what parts i want to get. ive heard that the stock cam is the best for turbo induction as for valve springs and other parts im looking into that right now im in the f/i forum asking questions about all the stuff that will ad me. the dealer has agreed to install the parts instead of replacing some with the stock parts and still clasify it under warrenty. any ideas can be replied at http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=175043
