Just joined the club, Hi. I have a 2000 ZX3 that a mechanic said I should junk that it won’t pass inspection. So I’m doing some work. The main symptom was the PCV issue that seems to be prevalent in early years.I chased all the problems back to the intake manifold which had quiet a bit of oil sitting inbottom. I’m looking for info. On how To remove intake manifold from vehicle. Do I need to remove altinator? What is the best way to clean the manifold? And any other tips that may help a rookie.

The residue in bottom of intake may well be nothing, they do NOT run 100% clean and not needed to have engine run fine. Depends on how much is there. Up to 2-3 tablespoons is fine, mine have that much and run perfectly.

Thanks for the info. AMC49. I’ve removed and am reinstalling with fingers crossed.
