I was buying one soon, but where in the heck do you install this thing? My apologies for asking a noob-of-all-noob questions I never installed an air-filter before.

WD40,

I have a can of the retention spray if you want it. I used it once. The focus is gone for an 06 Mustang GT, so I wont be needing it. Pay shipping and a six pack of Mich Ultra and its yours.

Retention spray?
I swore the instructions said it never needed to be re-oiled.
Just shake the dust/debris off, and go on your way.
It's good for 75,000 miles or so.
Maybe I should look at those instructions again. [dunno]

This might be where the disconnect is coming in:
It's a "drop in" stock replacement panel filter, not a cone filter.

But...I appreciate the offer, and if I can use it, I'll be looking you up. [;)]
What's shipping to your zip going to run for a six-pack??!! [:D]

If this thread is not going any further, does anybody know the diameter of the ITG Cone Air filter [???:)] I'm wanting to see if it would fit on the HIA intake which measures 2 3/4 inches....

Well seeing as I dont have the car anymore I cant go measure the cone. Sorry WD40 I thought you had the cone type. I had the FS cool flow with the ITG cone. I loved it. That is what the retention spray was for.
