Is this normal on a DCT?

Wondering if it's normal for the transmission to slip when taking off while the engine is cold. My brother borrowed it and said when it was cold and he gave it light throttle it slipped. It behaved normally once warmed up.

No, I'm not talking about shudder. I have Tom's tune and haven't had shudder in a short while. I did the clutch scrub prior to getting the tune because I had some shudder.

I know I went to work last week and left the driveway before it was warmed up, and it didn't really feel like it wanted to go. I had to give it some good throttle.

Everything is fine otherwise. He says his crown Vic does the same but that's obviously a torque converter trans.
