So i have been doing some research and looking at power to weight to gas mileage to acceleration.

Focus se with 5spd manual is around 7.3s to 60 (2953lbs, 160hp, 146tq)

Now some competitors

scion tc fastest 6.9s though i have read around that it could be 7.4-8s

honda civic 9s

mazda 3 s 7.4s

chevy cruze 9.2s

so basically the focus can be faster than cars with a bit more power? though definitley faster than the cruze and civic.

Remember were talking about a car thats made to do 40+ mpg, so you cant expect it to be a rocket.

I dont really trust car and driver though, look at their numbers

I was at the 1/8th the other day, running consistant 10.3s, the 2012 there was struggling with 10.9s. It was obvious that the new 2012 was decent, but not outperforming a stock SVT quick, which is what Car and Drivers numbers are showing.

So, I dont pay much attention to car and driver as they arent really consistent with their numbers. The car is decent, but its not exactly going to pull the hat off your head.

Well it still depends on the driver maybe your just a better driver than the other guy.

Or running his tires at recommended psi or higher.
