Quick Question..

My Transmissions Went Out a while Back..

Can i but a 6 Speed Transmissions
In My 04 2.3L Duratec Zx3

And if so were can i buy a new one from?

The only way you can do it is if you found someone who can make you a different bellhousing to allow it to bolt up to the engine, since the SVT Zetec has a different bolt pattern than the Duratec. (which is assuming the bellhousing is separatable from the transmission on the Getrag).

In otherwords, its just better to spend the money on a set of 3.82 or 4.06 gears, and a LSD, and stick to the 5-speed.

teh 6speed in the svt (and mini S) is overrated, it is very very close, and doesn't work very well for highway cruising (70+)mph

While it was a marketing item, it does work well for where it was intended; on the road course.

Are you talking about the SVTF has a close ratio??? Friend had his SVTF going 147 in fourth or fifth gear... not to sure which one... either way he still had a gear or two to go.

CENTERFORCE Clutch Kit
From F2Focus

Any comments about these products

What Kind of gain do you think I’m going to see?

I'll Keep you Post the car is going to the shop tomorrow or Monday.

I'm Going to Try to get some header as well

but I don't like the fact that a lot of headers I see our rusted.

Any way to keep this from happening

No, the top of fifth gear is near 140.

ok he was in a fifth gear then but he was going 147 in fifth gear with more to go in fifth.

No, it will not go 147 in fifth, unless the rev limiter is raised.

true, his revv limiter is at something like 8200.

I thought the oil pump can't take that many revs.

I think he has an aftermarket oil pump, he does have the jrsc.
