I have an iphone 5s and I use the navigation system on the phone for directions. I plug my phone into the usb so it can charge while the phone is on navigation. I can't hear the voice prompts at all. I've turned off bluetooth, but still no voice prompts from the phone. When I power down the radio/sync, I can hear the voice prompts. I have Sync, no MFT. Any ideas on how to get the voice prompts to work? Thanks.

Hi wkumtrider,

Technically, SYNC doesn't support this; however, if you were to listen to Bluetooth audio while your phone's navigation is running, it should cut out whatever you're listening to when your navigation app takes over the Bluetooth audio stream. ;)

Ok, it use to work but now it doesn't. I don't want it to use the car's speaker system, just the iphone speakers. THe voice prompts don't work through the iphone speakers when the radio is on and bluetooth turned off.

just click the airplay button when you swipe from the bottom of your iPhone to select the "control panel". Then select iPhone for audio source. It could be using "dock connector" and that is why you can't hear iPhone speaker.
