hey so i just bought this car and when i got it the speedo worked fine now it works when it wants to i replaced the cluster in the dash and this did not fix the problem i dont know where to go next? anyone have simalar problem or know what it might be??..

Check VSS (Vehicle speed sensor) and associated wiring. Located on passenger side of diff.
Are you having running problems? The VSS is a sensor input to the PCM used in things like cruise control, etc.

yes it also has very rough vibration at low rpm's but smooths out at high rpm's started at just abloout the same time the speedo went out

If only the speedometer is affected, then the problem is most likely the VSS as mentioned above.

yes it is just the speedo. so is it easy to change someone told me you need to take off cat to do it? any help there.. ???

update!!!! found it very easy and accessable however the harness going into it is rather snug and i did not see a release for the plug is it in top twards the intake or am i just missing it here? i dont want to break it so let me know thanks...
