So can anyone tell me, what will interchange between the 2000 and 2005 Focus'
I purchased a 2000 2007 service manual and when I received it the only mention of a 2000 was wiring. It did have 2002 and 2005 service stuff in it but that was it. So I m wondering if the 2000,2001,2002, 2003 2004 and 2005 were basically the same? Or did I get ripped off as I am only interested in the 2000 Focus.
I will accept emails, [email protected]
Thanks JD.

'05 was when the front ball joint pin got larger, so knuckles and joints aren't interchangeable from that year - '06 the struts changed as well as brakes in front...

otherwise you're OK....

00 - 04 were basically the same, with options installed being the only differences....(one oddball is the early model with ABS & traction control...)

Luck!

Hang on, sailor.
00 - 04 Engine options: primarily Zetec and SPI, both different than the 2.3 Duratec in the '04ish model year (depending on which state car was purchased). By '05, 2.0 Duratec was the std engine, iirc (except for ST).

If the OP has a 2000, use the 2002 info; it'd be the closest relevant info.

You're right, I was discounting the "obvious" different engines involved....

Thinking of the LESS "obvious" differences that may not be noted as clearly....

Mea Culpa...
