Hey,

I know a lot of non Ti owners like the look of the black border around the foglights on the Ti.

I recently went to a friends detail shop, and had him vinyl the chrome bit on the front bumper (on either side of the Ford logo). It costs me $0 cuz I know him, but he probably would have only charged $15 or so.

In any event, I showed him a pic of the black trim around the foglights. Without actually attaching it ( I have to remove the light first) he was able to hold a piece up against it, to give me an idea. He said to loosen the light so he has something to grab on to (the inside of the housing)

It looked pretty decent. Great, no, but pretty good.

Just throwing it out if anybody is handy with this stuff and wants to try it. For me, I think it will be "good enough".

Painting them probably wouldnt be too hard either, which is what I'm considering.

Then again, the parts don't cost all too much from what I've seen, so I'm afraid to be doing cheap things to a brand new car :p like Jerry-modding the headlights to look like the titanium mascaraed ones.

Post pics of the grille! :)

I was also thinking that paint wouldn't be a bad option either, but with vinyl, at least you can revert back if ever needed to. I would think wrapping that weird angle would be a bit tricky, but some heat might help persuade it.

Ya, he said something about heating it, I don't remember exactly. He is great at what he does, so I just trust him :)

Ill take a pic of the grill and post later

Pretty sure I'll paint my fog light housings, and use electricians tape (Hey, man! It's Gucci "Electrical Specialist" Tape----149.95 a roll! Go it from the infomercial and they doubled my order![histerical])..........just too easy for a DIYer like me. I usually do mods for what I like, not resale potential (that's just me).

All-black looks pretty good. I'm wondering how a set would look painted 100% Piano Black.

I tinted my fog lights yellow and then stuck the Ti bezels on top. Are you thinking of yellow, or actually tinting them darker?

Did you use window film or spray tint on these?

Unfortunately tinting the lenses doesn't have the same effect as using 3000k bulbs. You're actually cutting your overall intensity down a little bit. But don't get me wrong, I like the way the yellow lenses look.

It's a vinyl tint, much like Lamin-x but a different brand.

Point. New bulbs are still on my to-buy list for the Focus. It's the same on my Grand Prix, the fog lights are tinted yellow with this film and the bulbs have been replaced with brighter, yellow pieces. I simply like the look of yellow fog lights, both when they're on and when they're off. [:p]
