has anytone taken out all of the carpet on the inside of there car to lose some lbs? does the floor get hott or is that not a problem at all?

I wouldn't recommend it. Carpet is like only a few pounds.
If anything just ditch the seats, and spare tire, jack, (50-60 lbs?) and have your AAA road-side assistance ready.

Carpet helps keep the noise down inside the car. I bet he talking rear seats. Don't ditch the spare or the jack. AAA will still need the spare to change your tire. I have never seen them repair a flat on the road. Have you ever had to call AAA. Sometimes there is like an Hr plus wait. That is just stupid.

He probably just meant for towing purposes.. And I couldnt see the carpet weighing to much or making a difference.

yea i def. think taking out the carpet is a bad idea i would rethink that concept before actually taking action...there's alot more stuff you can take out of your car that would drastically shed some pounds rather than some lightweight carpet...
