I'm not a fan of Trump the person.

I try very hard to instill a sense of right and wrong in my children. They are not sore loser or sore winners, but try and show respect to the competition... even when they do not deserve it. I think it was stated very well in American sniper. You are either a sheep ( 90% of America) a wolf ( This is Trump. take any advantage you can and feed on the weak) or a sheep dog (protector of the weak). I will never follow a wolf anywhere. They are my sworn enemies and should be hunted to extinction..... and certainly not rewarded for being a wolf. As stated earlier most of our elected officials are wolves, but Trump is the first to embrace being a wolf.... and actually being proud of the fact.

The sad part is we will now swing waaay over to the left and elect some Democrat like Sanders. If Trump could have been a little bit of a sheep dog (and tried to get along) we would never be in a situation where someone who is soo far to the left even has a chance. If Sanders or any Democrat gets elected it will be the fault of Trump. You can fool the sheep into electing a wolf... if they don't know he is a wolf. I believe the sheep are finally starting to realize what Trump really is.

This is why politics and politicians are so hated. They spend most of their time trying to convince the sheep they are not wolves. We as Americans have the obligation to sort out the ones who are the most wolf like, and ensure they do not lead the herd into oblivion.... for their own selfish reasons..... or for the good of a few sheep and the cost of the welfare of the herd.

At least there are a couple of Dem hopefuls that are neither wolves, nor sheep (nor too far left). Amy Klobuchar is probably the best among them, she is a sheep dog, who has spent her political career working on doing the right thing for her constituents and the nation as a whole. Not sure the DNC will support her properly, but if they do it might work out better for all of us.

Allies? Friends? Has the US ever had any real allies since the end of WW II? All there really is is a bunch of countries who let us pay billions of dollars to keep materiel and men at the ready to defend their socialist paradises so they have the money to pay for socialism. NATO means US forces based in Europe.

Oddly, our county keeps kissing the collective asses of our "allies" so that we can continue to spend billions keeping them safe. A whole lot of butt snuffling has gone on for decades. And we foolishly pay these countries for the privilege of snuffling their butts.

Foreign companies are building factories here. The stock market is up. I don't give a flying f if countries that we have to pay to be our friends like us. The reality is that they've never liked Americans, they only like our money.

Revisionist history, as told by disingenuous separatist propagandists, is not a reason to disengage from our alliances.

America and Americans made trillions of dollars profit over the 40s, 50s and 60s (above the expense to our bulging treasury) rebuilding Europe after WWII. Stalin was in power after the war and as evil as ever, with designs on keeping annexed Eastern European countries in the Soviet block forever. His stated purpose for that was to win an economic war against us, and destroy American capitalism, in order to establish communism around the globe and rule the world. What we did for Europe, we did for ourselves.

Things have changed since then, but it's not the fault of NATO or any of our European allies. The change is due to "bribing" China into opening their country to western capitalist influence, in an effort to weaken the Russian designs on crushing us and our way of life. Proxy wars were being fought all over the globe, against both the USSR and China, as both sides (capitalist and communist) sought to control the resources of poorer 3rd-world countries... the start of the global marketplace, and globalism in general. Due to the exploitation of cheap Chinese labor by our short-sighted corporations, and the manipulations of oil-based political opportunists (ramming the stupid idea that "bigger is better" up our collective wazoo), our global primacy was compromised many years ago. It wasn't, and isn't, our European allies who caused our current problems. Our current problems are caused by America making cheap and inefficient crap, using Chinese labor (instead of American labor) and low-spec materials (instead of quality materials), that isn't good enough to compete with more efficient and effective European and Japanese products. Those Nixon/Kissinger compromises have come to due for payment.

But don't expect the GOP's oil-men pundits to admit the truth. They'll just keep repeating the same line of garbage that it's "not our fault, it's those pesky European allies who caused everything to go wrong". It seems like you have wholeheartedly swallowed their revision of history... too much butt snuffling of the corrupt pro-oil forces that have taken over the GOP.

Sorry, NATO is a buffer zone but not an ally. Staying in Europe and NATO is like keeping your sheepdog after you sell the flock.

Again, "our friends" have never really like America or Americans. Let them support themselves.

Sorry, NATO is an organization, collection of several allied countries agreeing to defend a common territory, not a buffer zone. It's always good to keep your sheepdog, because the wolves are always out there and a sheepdog is a good deterrent.

Pretty short sighted. Russia is not dead, and they have not become a "friendly" country. They still want the territory and wealth of Ukraine and the Baltic countries, also they'd love Poland and Germany, and anything else they can get their hands on. America is an imperialistic country, so is Russia. What we allow them to take, they will take... that is what our government's conservatives and liberals of the 1940s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and 00s understood. Just because we now have a populist buffoon for POTUS, who arrogantly follows the lead of ignorant radio propagandists, is NO reason to give Russia a helping hand the way we did with China. The problems we are currently struggling with are not solvable by abandoning our responsibilities to the countries who used to love America (at least they did until it became clear that the morons were getting their way).

LOL! Most of the countries in NATO are nothing more than sacrificial lambs. Without the US, NATO wouldn't last three days. NATO members know that they don't need to spend any money on defense because the US will come to their rescue. So, we continue to spend billions to protect a bunch of countries that hate the US because we are so big and bad.

I agree with you.....friends don't screw friends on paying the bill at a restaurant....the same should go for paying the bills for defense of their countries.

Secondly, 'social medicine' as practiced in western Europe is not the panacea that college professors brainwash our young into thinking it is. A relative of mine died of cancer last year while on a 'waiting list' for 'chemo' in the UK....he was in his early 50's and was an 'Operating engineer' (in other words a taxpayer).....These socialized medicine countries have a two-tiered medical system....one for the working class and a better one for the wealthy who can afford top notch care. Also, the comparison of 'successful socialism' in Denmark, Sweden, Norway etc...leaves out the 30+% VAT (tax) added to virtually every product sold...an 11.2 ounce bottle of Budweiser in Norway was over $16 when I visited there a few years ago.....

Thirdly, Micheal Bloomberg BOMBED at the Nevada debate...he was totally crushed because he was unprepared for his true self being exposed.
I have personally heard Bloomberg call a transvestite "a weirdo" at the NYC Puerto Rican Day parade several years ago when he was mayor....most that were present agreed with him....but they're not running for President and apologizing and denying who they really are.....I believe that the more people learn about this arrogant elitist...the less chance he has of ever getting elected...Also, Klobuchar was spot on in her assessment of 'Mayor Pete'....he's an unaccomplished NOBODY who wasn't even liked in South Bend....

Geez... you guys are perfect examples of what happens to a person's thinking when he waists his life listening to radio and TV personalities who do NOTHING more than bitch, bitch, bitch. Never a solution beyond the status quo of "party ideology". Never a view into history, and consequence of actions. Just a year to year bumbling along, bitching about "liberals", bitching about and how sad it is that super wealthy billionaires have to pay taxes (actually most of them don't). Bitching about Mexicans. Bitching about "poor America"... makes a man puke listening to all that crying about how we don't have MORE, when we, our oil-men decision makers, have caused our own problems.

What a gigantic load of BS! We set up NATO for our own advantage over Soviet/Russian aggression and expansion. Our political, military, and industrial leaders (wealthy elites) understood that allowing the USSR to simply have Europe for the taking, would wipe out our biggest market, and our oldest ally, and make ALL the sacrifices we made during WWII into NOTHING... a pure waste of life and effort. That's not even mentioning that almost every citizen of the US who either came from a European country, or have ancestors that came from a European country, and/or still had family over there, demanded we continue to secure Europe for our own benefit.

The real problem is, you spend all of your time in an echo chamber created by the stooges of wealthy elites, to fool those who want to think they deserve MORE, when they/we already have MORE than the rest of the world, except for the mistakes we've made by trying to get MORE (especially, for off-shore accounts in the hands of wealthy elites). You guys are victims, not educated. The kool-aide you drink is poison. There is a better way, but it means "change", dramatic change to an economy that is not reliant on simple population growth and finding more ways to waste natural resources. There is no "one solution" to the problem of waste and excess, but continuing down a road that is a dead-end, is NOT one of the solutions to anything, except the death of billions. Simple bitching about what other countries have does nothing to make America better. Letting Russia have whatever there little expansionist hearts desire does nothing to help America. Why do you think we're trapped into fighting a perpetual war in the Middle East?

I am more concerned about China than Russia...but that IDIOT Biden says "come on man...China's not our competition"....The Trump haters keep spouting "Russia, Russia, Russia"..while ignoring China because they are making MONEY from China (while they SELL OUT our middle class)...Term Limits are desperately needed..

So I suppose that Europe hasn't benefited from "NATO" protecting them and letting the US foot the bill? It is time that the other members of NATO pulled their weight. If a country can't contribute significantly to the defense of its borders, maybe it shouldn't exist as a sovereign country.

I don't listen to talk radio and I don't cry about billionaires taxes.

"Draining the swamp", what a stupendous lie! DJT has killed the EPA and the CDC, along with severely reducing the effectiveness of the USDA, the Justice Dept, and all land-management and social-services agencies. Watch as the corona virus reduces our economy to dust (already underway), and the horrors of pollution and disease increase due to short sighted oil-profiteering and allowing chemical corps and big-pharma to proceed unchecked. Wait for it... the oceans are dying, the rain storms are here to stay, and there will be no place to get food.

DJT hasn't exposed anything that wasn't already known long, long ago (at least, if you were actually paying attention to reality, and not simply waiting for someone to admit it). We "all" knew the difference between "politicians" and "statesmen"... that politicians are liars who work for their own benefit, and statesmen are patriots who work for the betterment of the country. That politicians become institutionalized as easily as statesmen, and get re-elected over and over by gullible people who are afraid of what will happen if they help to "upset the apple cart" (type of thinking is found among people who are afraid of progress/change). That politicians do what is easiest (spend money on "pork" to produce wealth for a few CEOs and their lackeys, and hope a bit will trickle-down to the masses), rather than do what needs to be done to allow the most citizens to live sensible and healthy lives. That politicians hide behind "the flag", and profess patriotism, while selling the idea that what is "easiest" is also "best". That politicians play the game of whipping their most gullible bases into a frenzy of hate for the "other side", making politics into a "team sport", or a cult. Statesmen are inclusive and concerned for the well-being of all Americans, while politicians are divisive and concerned only for the well-being of their biggest donors. It is clear to all of us who are not cultists that DJT is the biggest politician we've seen in our lifetimes, or ever imagined. He's not draining any swamp, he's creating his own polluted swamp.

The GOP has "accepted" DJT, because the leadership of the GOP has worked hard to reduce the idea and ideal of "America" to "an economy" (as though the GOAL of human life is to create the biggest Gross Domestic Product... what a sick joke), and they follow whatever the richest oil-men want. The oil-men's propagandists have done a great job co-opting various messages from various groups. For instance:
They have succeeded in convincing "Christians" that war is good. It should be obvious to them that the very idea of warfare is as anti-Christian as is possible, but war enriches bankers, munitions corps, and oil-corps.
They have succeeded in convincing rural farmers that taxing corporations and the uber-rich is bad, and that cutting government spending on infrastructure is good... just so there will be more money available to the military (see war prifiteers above).
They have recently succeeded in convincing people of European ancestry that the country was built "by them" and that they deserve more, more, more. When the reality is it was built on the efforts of people from all over the globe, and every race, creed, ethnicity, starting with the Europeans who were kicked out of their own countries for being misfits.
They have succeeded in portraying Wall Street profiteers as the creators and maintainers of the American dream, when it is the Wall Street profiteers who are responsible for selling our country off to foreign buyers (the Chinese, and others, own much of the downtown properties of all our major cities, and are currently buying as many acres of farmland as possible, due to the idiotic tariff wars which are causing farms to collapse), all the while they secure their wealth in off-shore accounts and shell-corporation to avoid pay taxes, taxes that keep our infrastructure intact.
And they have succeeded in portraying the EPA as bad, and portraying anyone who understands that a healthy environment is more important than an overheated economy, as being wacky and somehow anti-American. ALL life relies on the world's environment for continued survival... that means people, too... in the worst-case, a global economy can be replaced by local barter and trade.

Trump is NO SAVIOR of anything. Not a swamp drainer. Not a patriot. Not an economist. Just a self-promoting con-man, who is playing the game of "politician" better than the other politicians, whether they ride his coat-tails or resist him.

Hey, FocalDestruction, how about just posting the link to Trump's lie-site instead of using up all that space on BS.

This is copied and pasted so I can't verify the veracity of all of it but a lot of it is obviously true (ie: I don't know that Mad Maxine requires photo ID to enter her Townhalls.) : Bill Clinton paid $850,000 to Paula Jones to get her to go away. I don’t remember the FBI raiding his lawyer’s office.
They sent more troops and armament to arrest Roger Stone than they sent to defend Benghazi. Think about that.
Nancy Pelosi invited illegal aliens to the State of the Union. President Trump Invited victims of illegal aliens to the State of the Union.
Chelsea Clinton got out of college and got a job at NBC that paid $900,000 per year. Her mom flies around the country speaking out about white privilege
Russia donated $0.00 to the Trump campaign. Russia donated $145,600,000 to the Clinton Foundation. But Trump was the one investigated!
Maxine Waters opposes voter ID laws; she thinks that they are racist. You need to have a photo ID to attend her town hall meetings.
From being against foreign interference in our elections to allowing non-citizens to vote in our elections. No Border Walls. No voter ID laws.
How do you walk 3000 miles across Mexico with no outside support and show up at our border overweight and with a cell phone?
Pres. Trump’s wall costs less than the Obamacare web site.
A socialist is basically a communist who doesn’t have the power to take everything from their citizens at gunpoint .. YET
60 years ago, Venezuela was 4th on the world economic freedom index. Today, they are 179th and their citizens are dying of starvation. In only 10 years, Venezuela was destroyed by democratic socialism.
Trump: "They’re not after me. They’re after you. I’m just in their way." PS: Pbfoot: You have a lot of balls calling out anybody for "using space on BS"....anybody who has followed this thread and the others that are anti-Trump would know that you "use a lot of space" (probably more than anybody else) spouting your opinion...in other words...your own BS. Were you an 'educator' in your earlier life?

If you haven't taken the time to verify stuff that is claimed by some faceless cultist hiding in the alleys of some political lie-site, why post them at all? Repeating garbage is not a good idea. Repeating exaggerations, unsubstantiated accusations, and outright lies is NOT helping anyone find their way past American team-politics, and into the light of reason and cooperation. That list is filled with specious clap-trap. That means, a tiny bit of truth used to support a bunch of made-up BS, in order to gain the support of people who would otherwise ignore or reject the "stated fact" or opinion, as nothing more than political slant or cult ideology.

BTW, the socialist fear mongering is pathetic. That's the same old garbage the oil-men, war-machine industrialists, and bankers have been repeating since the cold-war paranoia of the Joe McCarthy debacle. European-type socialism has nothing to do with the Bolshevik Revolution that turned Russia from a monarchy into a communist dictatorship. What happened in Venezuela was due to a combination of many things, not the chosen political system of reform that was envisioned by their reactionary and American-hating dictator. It was a fight between their naive oil producers and our elite oil-manipulators. They didn't want to play our game, so our guys destroyed them. It had nothing to do with setting up a wealth redistribution system (socialism), it had everything to do with our paranoid oil-men not wanting them to become a powerful example of resistance to American exploitative capitalism.

Education is a long process, it takes space to provide it, but it's worth the effort because the results of becoming informed about reality helps the person who is, and everybody around them. Wasting space on spreading lies and repeating propaganda, filled with unsubstantiated or false accusations in not worth taking ANY space, it only hurts the person who believes it and everybody around them. Big difference in the value of taking up space.

Oh....so your use of space (spouting your opinions and utopian dreams) are a more ‘valuable’ use of space than the rest of ours? I‘ve said it before and I’ll say it again....you are very selective in your answers......Why do you refuse to acknowledge whether 30 heavily armed SWAT members to arrest a 70 y/o, non threatening man was necessary (and tipping off your Pravda ...CNN...to film it) or was it designed to intimidate political opposition (something we would expect from the Chinese or the Soviets)? It’s difficult to debate someone who does nothing but lecture us.... PS: I see that my Senator, mocky Chuck Schumer, who has NEVER HAD A REAL JOB....is blaming Trump for his response to coronavirus (remember that at first the hypocritical left called him out as ’racist’ for stopping US entry to Chinese in order to PROTECT AMERICANS.). I read that over 80% of our antibiotics....not to mention the face masks that are now in short supply come from China...it was Schumer and his ilk (in both parties) who were in office when this outsourcing of American protection and manufacturing occurred....and you can be sure that many of these POS profited from this sellout of America. Real TERM LIMITS are our only hope....

It seems that it looks to you and GOP cultists like mocky Schumer must be a mouthpiece for Jewish bankers, huh? (Perhaps, that IS one of his favorite donor bases, but that doesn't mean he's wrong to criticize a weak and sociopathic response to a burgeoning worldwide pandemic.)

To those of us who know the history of events that lead to the profiteering that took place in building China into an economic powerhouse, that the facts about the collapse of American manufacturing (as well as the Bush-Cheney outsourcing of government functions to the private sector) are part of a desperate plan to create "new" markets, in the shell-game or Ponzi-scheme of global capitalism. Capitalism has always been the greatest economic system for building and growing at the highest rate possible, and it allowed all countries who embraced it to exceed the growth and economic power of all countries who embraced either more egalitarian or more dictatorial economic systems. But Capitalism becomes a social-vampire, when there is no longer any room for growth, and the last drops of blood have to be squeezed out of old mother Earth, to keep it all from collapsing... which it WILL do eventually, guaranteed, no matter how much effort is put into sucking the life out of everything.

I didn't see that you were asking a genuine question, concerning how I feel about the over-the-top show of force in arresting one sleazy, crooked lawyer. I see it as just another example of the police-state we are stuck with, and have been stuck with since the late 1960s... Nixon started us on that path, and it expanded under the administrations of both Bushes, Clinton, Obama, and now Trump. To me it was political-theater on the part of sincere law enforcement officers, who must have felt like they were taking down Al Capone, when they went to arrest a POTUS' personal lawyer for crimes against the security and/or sovereignty of the USA. I'm pretty sure that everybody working on the case had wanted to personally take part in the arrest, but since most of them are desk-jockeys, they sent gun-toting (wild-west-style), lawmen to make the drama into a show of solidarity against a powerful criminal.

PS: TDS is clearly what DJT's supporters are suffering from... deranged by hero-worship or political cultism. People who are against Trump are suffering from SAS, Save America Syndrome... or else they hate Trump for personal reasons, or because they are simply cultists of the DNC.

That was a reference to one of Reilly's much earlier posts in a different thread... something about 'too many liberal Jewish lawyers'. And then there is the parallel to Hitler's blaming of Germany's economic problems on Jewish money-lenders/bankers... that's something that still resonates with current day fascists and/or white supremacists.
