just muddled my way thru removing the oil filter 'housing' on my 2006 TDCI 1.6 LX.

When I put the new cartridge filter in, it had a sticking out lug on the bottom.

where does this locate, as i didnt notice it when removing the old one?

Also,

I broke off a chunk of the lip on the plastic oil filter 'housing' when undoing it, due to not removing the intercooler pipe first.

How much is a new one of these and whats its propper name?
NB: I dont think this will cause it to leak, as theres a seal before the rim???

i did the same when i first removed my filter i used the old one and it's ok no leaks!

the filter is the correct one they have changed them slightly just make sure the round outlet fits in the hole in the housing snugly then tighten it up to the correct torque
