would i feel the difference or would i just hear it? i already have a new intake... which didnt make a difference in performance (not that i expected it to) would i have to get a new throttle body, AMF, and cams to actually feel any difference?

for you to get cams, you would need all boltons to feel any difference!!

headers are the metal tubes that capture the exhaust comming out of the head (head is the part that connects to the block of the engine) and then the header runs into the flex pipe which runs to ur exhaust and out the back of the car. ( our cars only have one head, therefor only one header) they replace the stock restrictive exhaust manifold and since you now have a header, you have less restriction as you have a smoother flowing design for the exhaust so you gain hp and tq!

if you have to stay emissions legal, then get a FR shorty header and magniflow high flow cat. if you don't have to stay emmisions legal, go w/ a focusSport or OBX or svt long tube header!

It doesn't matter if you have an 1.8L, it's got the same WHp as the 2.0 auto and manual.
The 1.8L has less Cubic Capacity then the 2.0L does.

oo i kno mate. i bought a 'universal' fit back box for a focus for £50 hahaha did it fit. NO CHANCE. thats y im being specific to what i buy now and asking the seller loads of questions and i know what it looks like now (bends in pipes etc) so hopefully wont make the same mistake. i would buy 1 off buy and trade on here but theres no1 selling from the UK and i dont want to pay 2/3 pound.

The new intake does help, very little tho. to really help an intake, i recommend yes to getting a new throttle body. the new headers and exhaust help too. I run a CAI with 65mm throttle body. then i got the JBA shorty headers, magniflow high flow cat, and the focus sport exhaust (which i think sounds awesome). theres a good improvement there, its noticible but nothing to go crazy about. i gotta look into cams and such now.

It's all about airflow. Exhaust won't do much good without the header and a quality catback exhaust and high flow cat. And from what I understand the TB improves throttle response, not HP. At least not noticeable gains anyhow. Of course breathing deep will also affect Your fuel/air mix, so upgrading the fuel rail and injectors and a good tune or flash coupled with the airflow will give You relatively significant gains HP wise. It isn't cheap, but to do it right, Ya gotta pay.
