Pick a kit that is complete and comes with tuning. that is the cheapest/best way. The headaches and cost of a junkyard turbo will FAR exceed a kit price in the end when you factor in custom tuning. If you cannot afford a kit, then SAVE for it. Do not cut corners.

saying you want to do a super cheap turbo kit is like saying you have a super hot fat girlfriend. Neither of them can be true!!!

I am looking around $2000 for my Duratec custom build. Most places want $3000 but require a set of hand tools and not alot of knowledge. Building a custom kit can be cheaper, but not as reliable... Got to look at the subject from both sides.... I opted to save money and use my knowledge to build my own kit.

take it from someone that has done it many times over.. TRUST ME!!! spend the money to do it right the first time... i have spent many of times trying to do it cheap and ended up spending well over 2 times as much as if i had just spent the money right the first time..... and i ended up doing it right later anyways... BTW good louck on the build.

Make sure you read a lot, start searching

one good way to blow your motor is to use a tune that comes with a kit, it will run MUCH better if you just custom tune it.

My kit looks like its coming together for under $1500. After tuning.

If you do it right the first time you will save ton of time, money, and several headaches. If you cross a path somewhere where you find you have to make a decision on spending a couple more $s to do it right, spend the money!

You want to fast? Get a motorcycle! J/K Not really but, "good things come to those who wait, while the best of things are acquired by those who hustle" take out a loan, do it right and move on to the next project. Your debt won't follow you to hell : )
