Guys,

I just picked up a set of AZFS22C, and I am going to get a set of FRPP wire red 9mm wire. Here is the question.

I want to know what gap you guy use. I have a 2001 5spd ZX3 and I am going to put a SRI in my car. How should I gap the plugs... 0.050 or 0.060, or even 0.055...

I was hanging around the parts department, they don think I should get the AZFS22C and def. not gaping them to 0.060, they think it is stupid not to use the stock plugs and the stock gap....

Anyone have experience on gaping 0.060, do you car like it? anyone's car do not like 0.060?


I just dono cars too well... I dono what I should do...

Why do you need the colder plugs? Usually you only need them if you're boosted. That's why they said you shouldn't use them.

And I have stock coil... and I am planning to gap it 0.060 like he said...
is it a good gap for stock ZETEC?

Should I return it?
Is a step cooler bad for my stock ZETEC?

Yes .060 is good for stock.

I would return them to save that money and just buy the regular stock plugs because you just don't need the colder plugs and it will do nothing for you.

No they are good plugs. They are motocraft. You just found them cheaper than I did.

I have a set in my Zetec, I'm not boosted, and they run just fine gapped at .060". They're definitely less money than the double platinums my dealer recommended. The big difference is they don't last quite as long because they're a single platinum plug.

Can you tell any difference from gap 0.050 and 0.060?

Never tried to gap @ .050 or .055". I know others who use them, boosted and all motor who all recommend .060".

and boosted normally go less than 0.50...
