The cost of the tune includes the XCAL3 tuning device, and it plugs in to Your OBDII plug, if I remember correctly. You will also want to look into getting a wideband air/fuel(A/F) gauge to help with fine tuning(not required, but highly recommended).
^the n/a tune does. When I bought his FI tune, I had to source my own. I wish he had a sticky with costs and what else is needed. I had a lot of down time waiting on stuff cause I didn't realize what I needed. Posted via FF Mobile
I believe a tune plus the XCAL3 tuner is $350 and it comes with everything needed to hook up to the car and load the tune. If you already have a tuner just the tune is much less but there can be issues with using already-used tuners.
When the owner wants to sell a used flasher he first has to restore the origional tune which removes the custom performance tune, this un marries the flasher from the car so some one else can use it on another Ford product
