I can't quite place it.

I know with key fobs now most people use that more often than not to open their trunks. Anybody else find their trunk release button cover missing?

You should see a plastic cover (more like rubber I should say, or a mix). There's a PCB there, no way it's should be by design exposed to the outside like this...

but from your picture it looks like the liftgate release switch is held on by glue?

Thanks. I have a call into my dealer now. I'm hoping the extended warranty I purchased when I bought out the lease will cover it.

Door handles are explicitly left off of extended warranties. Maybe since its not really a handle they will cover it.

I just got off the phone. It's a great dealership I do business with and he said he'll make sure it gets covered.
