[xx(]My vent selector is stuck to where not only did I break another one of the cables, but I can't get it to even move by using the wrench knob that's on the side of the vents where the vent selector and blend door cables connect. I looked through some old posts and found instructions and some photos on how to get in and clean out around the vent selector mechanism. Anybody done this recently? I'm comfortable dropping the blower motor to get in there, but is there enough space where I can sorta see what I'm doing. I'm worried about doing more damage than good. It's stuck on the dash vents, which is fine most of the year, but it went from 75 degrees to 25 degrees in 12 hours and I don't know that I can go all winter 'defrosting' with ice melt windshield washer or leaving the car running for half an hour or more to warm the car up.
