I have a 2001 Ford Focus Zetec DOHC with a 5 speed manual trans. The car runs and drives great However i am having a serious problem; on the transmission (where the shift cables connect to the trans) there is a weight that turns and shifts the gears. This weight has broken off from the stud (what needs to turn on the trans to engage the gears) and i had it welded only to break 2 more times. anyonw know where i can get this part? how hard is it to replace any info?? I cant engage in into gear, have to use pliers to turn the piece since the counter weight is broke off

I'm no expert but, sounds like a dealer part or try www.rockauto.com (they have a lot of stock stuff, and pretty fast delivery)

Salvage yard or dealer... I'm not thinking it'd be an easy to get aftermarket part.
