sweet.. hey when u get it can u post pics of it preinstalled and post installed with the wheel well out. I wanna see where the filter sits in comparison to the front fascia and the splash guard.

I have teh steeda, and it just makes the exhaust sound a bit deeper, and you can just hear the exhaust sucking in air. if you want, ill go take a vid for you.

I have the FocusSport one. Pretty much the same. It sounds pretty knarly. Sometimes you will get a loud whistle noise, kinda like a turbo. It is also pretty loud in the 4-6 thousand RPM range.

The CAI doesn't makes any kind of noise, maybe a whistle but thats it.... its the exhaust that makes the noise and if you get a header...oh man it's so loud!

yeah, the whistle is freakin sweet. sounds exactly like a turbo. i have been asked if i turbo'd the focus just cuz of it.

well i ordered one about 2 months ago ... i just recently took it off ..... i put the stock intake back on ... the reason is because , the piece of rubber that connects from the throttle body to the metal elbow , there was very bad dust build up on the inside , that dust was getting in my engine and messing with my idle and mass air flow sensor .
I would recommend that you get a better filter or get one of those foam cover thingys for the filter .
Now that i have the stock intake back on , it has more torque than it did with the hps intake ....in my opinion
It also idles way smoother ... but i will put it back on at a later time when i get a better filter and a foam cover for the filter , but wont be anytime soon

I have the ITG filter and it keeps all the dust out fine. ITG is the top of the line foam filter with multiple layers of foam with different size holes.

its not a foam cover, its called an 'outerwear.' u can get them here.....

a foam filter by itg or weapon-r will work fine.

they repel it like the water will shed off slightly if it gets splashed, it doesnt mean you can rally your car.

i have the outerwear ones, and they are great. im sure k/n makes great ones too. either one u should be good to go. they breathe well...literally. when i got mine, i took breaths thru it just to be sure.
