This is instructions on how to install clear corners on a 2005 zx3.
How to install clear corners on 2005 ZX3
The Goal!
Start on Passger Side 1st! The drivers side is more involved due air box.
Passenger Side: 30 min
1.Start by jacking the front use the factory jack.
2.Remove tire
3.There will be four screws to remove.
4.The torx screw can be removed using flathead.
5.The metal screw can be removed using 5/6 bit.
6.The two plastic screws are a bit tricky. Use a flat head to lift the screw and use pliers to pull the bit out.
7.Pull the panel back to access the light.
8.Twist off the light plug counter-clock wise.
9.Remove the bolts with 1/2 bit.
10.Unclip the two plastic clips and remove the factory corners.
11.Install Amber Light!!! Dont forget!!!
12. You will notice that the two bolts are self tapping on the plastic post of clear corner.
13. Use the same 1/2 bit to tighten the corners to the body of the car.
14. Test Light!!!! If it lightens up you can start to put the pieces back together. You need Amber to stay legal.
Driver side: 50min
1.Remove tire
2.There will be four screws to remove.
3.The torx screw can be removed using flathead.
4.The metal screw can be removed using 5/6 bit.
5.The two plastic screws are a bit tricky. Use a flat head to lift the screw and use pliers to pull the bit out.
6.The Damn Airbox will be a the toughest part to remove and re-install.
7. You will see two 8mm or 10mm bolts that hold the airbox. Remove it.
8.There is a 3rd bolt that is hidden on the other side. loosen it.
9 Loosen metal belt clip that holds the airbox.
10. You should be able to clear the airbox now.
11. Install the clear corners like you did for the passenger side.
