I have a 2000 ZTS Focus Sedan marked with 8/99 on the Build plate. I bought it new in Illinois in December 1999. The last 4 numbers of the VIN are 8448. It's in fair shape. I replaced the front springs under warranty a long time ago, and went through a bunch of recalls, but it still runs OK in stock trim.

Anybody got an earlier one?

Yes. I have an original 1997 Focus Wagon (prototype in Red) that I got from my uncle who worked for Ford during that time in Germany. However, this particular Focus wagon prototype was actually manufactured in Dagenham London. After the roll-over accident back in 2001, I modified the wagon to include better wheels and also added cruise control.

I will add more & better pictures later, but here is at least one pic just after the roll-over accident. We had no insurance at the time of the roll-over, so all repairs were out of pocket.

Cute but not a ZTS

Nifty wagon, but had no recalls for "A pillars with wrong Durometer hardness"
