focus needs more power Ford

[loveff] In my way of thinking the st looks good, just needs a turbo and svt susp and about 250 hp Id pay 25.000 for that also a very big up grade on the inside like the svt seats or better I dont understand why ford dont want more performance in the focus they would sell faster than they could make them. at very least make it an HP upgrade.

you know why we will never get as nice a car in NA as europe? because of the NA attitude.
I read it way earlier in this thread.
"It only does 0-60 in such and such. I wouldnt buy it."

There is so much more that quantifies a good car. Americans are for the most part worried about going really fast in a straight line. We won't spend the extra for much else.
And how times have changed. Imagine getting 250 horses in a compact 10-15 years ago and expecting it to be a $20,000 stocker.

Pretty, but the power isn't enough to pay. (I would change my vote on the RS in the other poll and pay less 20, I think). I'd pay 17K for this. I love the front end, not crazy on wheels, something like a 15 spoke would be nice.

I chose $23-26,000. If the price gets too close to GT Mustang territory then I believe people will opt for the Pony over the hot hatch. A loaded ZX3 should cost about $20,xxx, an SVT (ST) should be about $25,xxx, and an RS should draw between $30,xxx and $34,xxx. Obviously this is my interpretation of market price. I have no idea what these cars cost to engineer and manufacture so these prices may or may not be feasible.

Its a great car, I've had 2 of them. In gear acceleration (any gear....any revs) is amazing, ignore the BHP, the torque this thing puts out as standard is amazing, and 90% of it is available from 1500 revs....and it is very tunable

Around 20k if I can get it right hand drive!
Not a problem... that have loads in the UK. [hihi] [;)]

I would STILL go around $25K for one. If you built a VW Rabbit that you would want, it would be $23-$25, so I would definitely do a ST.
