Hello:

I am thinking of dropping old coolant and put in a new one, I just don't know how many gallons it will take or which one would be the best for the Focus(I have a 2005 ZX4 2.0L). I know they recommend Motorcraft, but I think very expensive here, Ford is selling it at approx. 34 dollars the gallon while I could buy a good one just for 7 or 10 dollars but not sure if it will be good for this car. Any suggestions?

Regards

i think its 7-8l (for some reason i think 7.4l) so around 2 gallons but you mix it 50/50 so one jug of ford stuff will work for you.

^^ this, but yeah if the system is drained put in one gallon of straight coolant, let it run and keep filling with water until its at operating temp and your level is at max. usually takes a little less than a gallon of water.
