I love my Focus, but I've found a major annoyance. The left foot rest is too raised for my left leg, and it literally causes me pain. I looked under the carpet, and the left foot rest is just a foam brick connected to a longer, thinner foam brick that seems to provide support for the right foot. My question is, has anyone attempted to remove this foam brick? From what I can see, it's fastened in there with two white clips of some type, but I don't know how to remove them. Can anyone provide some help?

I know what you mean, This gets on my nerves too. I have a new mustang in the family and it has the same situation as well... You could probably cut the foam down and cut a hole in the carpet if you want to... Other than that there is no real fix...
