OK, so after i put my FK 35/40 kit in about 2 months ago, i got the alignment done a couple days later. obviously, one of the main points of this is to make sure the tires wear evenly (among other things). lot of good that did (well, it actually probably DID do some good. the tires were just too far gone)! now the firestones are shot and i'm waiting for my new rims and tires to show up today (literally sitting at te window peaking my head out whenever i hear a truck go by). the stock 16s are 205/50/R16, but the new tires are 205/40/R17. i know the tire diameters are very similar, but should i go get the car re-aligned anyway?

If they did it right the first time, then no, it won't make a difference. Camber/Caster isn't adjustible in stock form, so the only thing they can adjust is the Toe. They should have set it to 0.0 I believe. At 0.0, tire/wheel changes won't be affected.
