Thanks to Tom for suggesting where to get
an offroad pipe I now have this and Toms
tune and probably soon to get a CFM throttle body..

from what I have learned on this forum these are
the major parts to get to get some minor increases
without going FI...
are there any other minor "minor" things that I can
do..because I'm going through the list and I just need
some help if you dont mind?
:]

maybe a 2.5 in exhaust, but other than that, not much!! the svt is already pretty maxed out. only other thing you can do is to do some head work!

Throttle Body, Poly Dogbone, STS, and copper plugs and good wires, and if you dont already have an intake a K&N Filter are the most worth while money costin ones... then the clutch sensor disable and counterweight mods are free!!

CAI, Toms Tune, ORP, Exhaust (3"), TB, and yea your maxed out.

Some tried shaving the head but gains were minimal. Not worth the amount of money it took.

If you want the Torsen Limited Slip Differential (LSD) would be a good buy. No more 1 wheel peels, and upgrade the clutch for some extra abuse.

I hear the same thing all the time man, but then I hear others say
that they like the CAI better and I agree with them, I like the
sound of my CAI and I like the way it looks lol so its just everyones
preference I already have mine lol
:]

so besides the intake..any more suggestions?

^^^Proof...though, it's the Volant CAI system they're comparing in the dyno.
Ah nuts...the site has been changed, and the dynos are no longer up.
I knew I should have saved those somehow. [:(]

Oscar Jackson (JRSC) posted some dyno results, and yes, the stock SVT intake made more power than the Volant.
Not a lot, but it was enough to make you keep your money in your pocket. [;)]

Yeh, thats only the Volant CAI though..
even though I dont think mine is any better than that
still its the look and sound that gets me
so again, its all a matter of opinion..

Volant came in with more power than the AEM CAI.
I just wish the dynos wouldn't have gone bye bye. [:(]

Toms Tune.... Toms Tune... Toms Tune...
I already have Toms tune, (thank you Tom) but as far as I am seeing
I dont get much of a horsepower increase..
should I take it back to him to see if it should feel different?
and I also JUST put in my ORP so a little bit of top end came
from that.. yay..
any more suggestions?
:]

I you didnt feel any difference then there is a problem... There is a noticeable difference between his tune and the stock one.

if you are going to get a new clutch soon, get a clutchmaster stageI w/light weight flywheel, for a DD. stage III if you going F/I. i just installed my CFM 67mm throttle body, have the adjustable short throw shifter not installed yet, k&n SRI FIPKII, just put on some steeda 8mm cables for your plugs, get motorcraft Copper core plugs. just visit c-f-m.com and you will find several things.
havent ran the car since the TB was put on. can't wait to do that.

Does any of that pulley/gear stuff increase your horse power? I know its controversial to most. What if you did your underdrive, alternator, and water pullies and your cam gears? Im thinking these just increase acceleration, i dunno...

pullies will get you 1 whp maybe, pretty much worthless, only throttle response. Cam gears can be dialed in and you can gain a few ponies from them. And as for that exhaust, you won't gain any more or less hp than pretty much any other exhaust w/ the same diameter piping. u will be paying for the difference in sound. 600 bucks is WAYYYY too much for just an exhaust. Go w/ borla if you want a good one. They are cheaper and sound the best IMO.
