So there is this high pitched whine from my engine when it is cold and dry. On a wet morning it didn't make the sound and it goes away after the engine gets warm. Might be the serpentine belt. I already had the power steering pump resiviore replaced about a year and a half ago.
I'm stuck.

Do you have power steering fluid? Check you oil...oddly that works for me. When oil gets lower it will make the squeal, fill it up and its gone then.

Serpentine belt is a good guess.

Or poss. any belt/bearing noise cold.

First open the hood & try to determine the source of the noise when starting cold.

I will check fluid levels, but another twist, the heat doesn't blow as hot as it did and the air blows even when switched off.
