ok i got an 02 svt with some ebay halos and i have had them for over a year and about a month ago the bulbs and the fuse went out and i replaced them and it did the same crap about a week later..so i said F this and i have been just using my high beams cause i was going to get new lights (the one with the turn siggnal in them)....but now my high beams dont stay on ..i can click them on but when i let go they turn off.and i hear a "clicking" from the relays
so is the relays bad or is it the switch but i think the switch feels different so i dont have a clue [rant] help

wow another central valley bro! and welcome

frist off when you replaced the blubs did you touch them with your bare skin? that will blow them out super fast.

second if the lights are coming on then the relay is working is sounds like the switch is bad cause it just wont hold in the on position.

yes, the relay is kinda like a big fancy fuse in a way if its bad the current cannot travel threw it

not sure on the switch, try pick n pull in stockton they had a couple of focus' tho they wernt SVTs but the switch should be the same.

mine broke a while ago but the opposite happened. i flicked on high beam and after that i couldnt turn high beam off. ford fixed it under warranty. they said the highbeam/dipped beam switch went bung. apparently its a pretty common problem. the new one they put in was a different design.
