I am having a problem with my passenger side HID light. I drove over a bump (not even fast) the other day and my passenger light went out. I tested the bulb and ballast and found no problems with them. I think this is a problem with power not getting to the ballast, but really weird how it just happened going over a bump. To make matters worse my girlfriend had the same problem with hers, but it's the drivers side. Would replacing the stock 10amp fuses for a 20amp fuse make any difference?? And yes I had a complete HID kit from XenonHIDworlds.com (BI-Xenon H4's). It came with 2 30 amp fuse's and ground wires and control box. Do I need a Relay? If anyone has had this happen, please let me know. It really bugs me having 3 lights HID and 1 light halogen, what a difference. Thanks guys.

i would check your wiring for a loose connection and also try replacing the fuse to the headlight that doesn't work. if the bulb and ballast are both good then one of the two or both are not getting power when the headlights are turned on.

about the relay - i guess it would depend on the kit and also how you have it hooked up. if your kit is plug and play then no, if it is powered directly from the battery then yes. i would need to know more about what it consists of to give a better answer.

You don't need a relay check all fuses and use a multi meter to test the wiring to make sure ample power is being supplied. Running only one HID and not the other can be potentially harmful to the kit might swap for stock till you figure it out.

I have 2 power wires going to the battery with 20A fuses for either wire. It then goes into the control unit and then out to either ballast. The passenger side is only getting about 8.5 volts and the driver's side is getting 12.33 volts? This has me a bit stumped, but I think it may be the control unit? My wife's 06 Kia Spectra is having a similar problem. The driver's side light went out 2 days after I installed it and then I checked the ground, and to my suprise that turned out to be the problem, but then the problem came back a couple of days later? Do you think we have the same problem?? The one kit is from XenonHIDWorlds.com and the other from a company in Japan.
