Ok, my TPS (throttle position sensor) kicked the bucket due to heavy rain and a cold air intake. Im suprised ive gone this long with the origional TPS. Anyhoo...not the issue. When I was testing to see if the TPS was the problem; basically I let the car run, unplugged the MAF - car died. Then I fired it back up, but when I did, the TC light came on. Weird. Wont go off. It either happened when I unplugged the MAF or the TPS. But still..what do those have to do with the traction control???

BTW, to test TPS.....car should rev slowly and stumble at part throttle...mashing the gas the car is fine, you'd never know. Idle is smooth, it just bucks and kicks its way to ~60% throttle. When you unplug the TSP and nothing changes, you know thats the culprit.

So...TC light....WTF???

100% confirmed, new TPS (~$30 from Ford) fixed it and the TC light is out.
