define alot of money, lol, whats ur budget. NA, the zetec is hard to get faster, it costs alot, you can do basic boltons if you want, but not too much more. for FI, ur looking between 2-5k for a good setup. my advice would be suspensin and tires. stick w/ them and you will have an amazing handling ride!!

gut as much weight out of it as possible and to keep the modding to a budget you could order a magnaflow muffler and have an exhaust shop make you a catback for about half the price of buying one. get a good cold air intake and some good plugs and wires. then if your still not happy spend a few hundred bux on a nitrous kit.

i will definitely look into wheels and suspension, as far as exhaust would it be a bad idea to straight pipe it since i am not driving it daily. Also, how much weight can i lose from the car cause it already looks pritty light?

how much weight depends on what you want to take out. there are several threads about how much each piece in the cars weighs... ive seen a lot of people take out the back seats and make a delete kit. save a good amount of weight depending on what you use for the kit

I agree with ya
FR top end setup is like $3118.50 U.S. and that doesn't incl SVT head gasket, ARP fastener and the tune for that matter, so it starts to add up really fast so 4-5 grand would be ballpark.

if you got motives, you can actually make ur own turbo... using old parts. stock headers and do on.... someone here make there own turbo running about 8psi, and it was less then 400 to 700.... becaues he did the work him self..

i know the thread is in this site somewhere.

I would put the money towards a few of the essential basic bolt ons motor wise then put the rest toward suspension, since it will never be crazy fast in a straight line unless you go FI, or spend crazy lots of money on NA, either way it is very expensive. Just get a good set of springs and struts, with front and rear sways, maybe even wheels and definitely a good set of tires. Going fast in the twisties is a lot better value imo....

^^It was on a SPI motor. He did the complete kit for $400 or so.
your both right, look up "jeffescort" that is the guy. some of the parts i belive came off a escort as there were turboed models in the 90's

as far as what you can do, i would look at the how to section in the forums and you will get a lot of ideas. CAI and exhaust, wheels and suspension, those would be my first choices.

Thanks a lot for the info guys. I got a list of what i think would be good mods(your suggestions and from the how to section). All i need to do now is find everything and get prices.
