I bought this car awhile ago and haven't had to take off the wheels yet, but now I want to paint the calipers and I cant get the damn things off because it never came with the adapter. I know you can go to the auto parts store and get one but, it's kinda far away and I was wondering if there is any at home techniques that you can use to get them off...[mecry]

Thanks,

Graham

IIRC theres the caliper bracket that you can take off, its either a 15 or 18mm set of 2 bolts that holds the caliper bracket to the knuckle.

i just did the front brakes on my mom's toyota i took the caliper off at the bracket... IIRC you can do the same thing with the focus.

I think hes talking about the wheels themselves have security lugs on them. Your best bet would be to get the key to get em off.

good luck with that. most of the time if they bought a cheapo set, you cant get the keys unless you have their specific code..

have fun man, thats going to suck.
