Hi all,

My temp gauge on my svt has been acting up and causing really REALLY hard cold starts. I went to try to replace it, I put the socket on it and went to take it out and it just kept spinning. I looked at my new sensor which is a duralast part, and it has no threads of any kind. I'm just confused on how I go about replacing this and if any of you have done it.

There is a clip that holds it in , what does the ETC have to do with hard cold starting ?

Well, when the cars cold my temp is reading warm and I think that's making it start lean on fuel. It was in expense and worth a shot.

CHT (Cylinder Head Temperature) is what these use for the PCM control & gauge AFAIK.
