Hey there is a wiring diagram i used lemme get you a link hold on

basically you need to connect the two gray wires like you did.

also the VSS is different. you need to hook up a ground to the mtx pigtail.

Oh, one more thing I thought of, make sure you have the large gauge wire going from the (-) battery to the bellhousing. The terminal goes into the topmost starter bolt.

I have seen on the forums somewhere that without that in there the car wont start for some reason.

yes i did check all the grounds and check the wires that goes to the coil and they do have voltage goin tru i even went and got a new coil cause i thought it was bad but still no spark... about the crank position sensor mount where is that located at? the only thing that i did i unplug the gray plug just like the one that has the 2 thick gray cables and connect one from a stick shift cause it had the plugs that goes to the tranny but it didnt work either...

Yeah, youre gonna have to take your trans back out.

The mtx has a different mount for the crank position sensor that puts the sensor closer to the flywheel. The bolt holding it in is behind the flywheel. Without this signal the PCM doesnt know when to fire the plugs.

It would be REALLY helpful if you could post some pictures. I dont know what gray plug you're talking about??

ill PM you my phone number if you wanna talk about this, we'd get it done a lot faster [thumb]

theres one main harness that goes on the top of the tranny right? then that same plug it splits into two, one is like the one on the picture and the other one is the same size but gray plug and that same harness it connects to the same plugs on the tranny also the o2 sensor and other sensor one on the side of the tranny close to the header (crank sensor?) and the other to the bottom of the power steering pump...well thats the harness that i got from the junkyard from a stick shift focus ...ok so u tellin me that i have to pull the tranny apart and put a mount the sensor where i can get that ? autozone? when i took out the auto trans and start putin the flywheel i didnt c any sensor...but u think thats the problem

If you didnt change that mount then that is definitely the problem... sorry man

other sensor one on the side of the tranny close to the header (crank sensor?)
that is the crank sensor, when you get your flywheel off you will see the bolt holding the mount on.

You dont need to pull the trans apart, just take it back out of the car, remove your clutch and flywheel, and you will see the sensor.

The mount can usually be found on ebay, but you might have to go to the dealer.

ah here you go

I bought mine from that guy, he is a good seller and ships priority.

edit, here is a auto trans crank sensor mount so you can compare the pics

Well I think the sensor is the same... nice thing about this guy tho is he sends the sensor with it.

I really dont think any auto parts store would carry that mount. It would be a dealer part, and they would probly charge you $30+, and have to special order it
