Came home from work two days ago and noticed hissing steam coming from under the hood.

Ended up being the water outlet on the right side of the engine.

Exactly like that. I replaced outlet with this exact one. That's all I did.

Refilled with coolant. Test drove. I am now overheating, quickly. I pulled over and turned my heater on, my heater no longer works, the blower works. I just don't have any heat.

I was thinking it's the thermostat, but these issues contradict each other... stuck open (heater) stuck closed (overheat).

I'm at a loss right now any insight would be greatly appreciated.

So it's probably the thermostat, which is a common fail part on these cars.

Mine is currently stuck open. (shrug)
If it's stuck closed, your heater core isn't getting any heated coolant.

Check coolant level, the heater quits heating when there is no water in it.

If you refilled without running engine until the stat opened you did NOT refill it, the engine will be half empty until stat opens. And why it overheated.
