My heater takes years to heat up. My dad said something about the block heater or the antifreeze. He's going to look Saturday.

I've got a new issue though. I "think" it may have to do with the heater also... maybe. I have no clue in reality.

its seems when the heater has been on for a long time the radio gets quieter and now the horn is getting quieter.

what's going on? is any of this related? Has anyone had this happen before?

Whats the engine temp gauge say? Does it also take a long time to show normal?

You may have a bad thermostat on the engine, e.g., stuck open.

If normal is in the middle between the white and the red, then yes I would say for sure it does.
