how do you turn these on? do they come on with the rear defrost or what? im wondering because mine seem to not work at all and i dont know how to turn them on. thanks

Yep...Rear defrost turns on the mirrors.

From the owners manual (general Focus owner's manual, not SVT supplement)

Heated mirrors (if equipped)
Both mirrors are heated automatically to remove ice, mist and fog when the rear window defrost is activated.
Do not remove ice from the mirrors with a scraper or attempt to readjust the mirror glass if it is frozen in place.
These actions could cause damage to the glass and mirrors.

quick question when i was changing my wiper relay i noticed that there are terminals in my fuse box for fuse no 50 (heated mirrors) its supposed to be a 7.5 amp fuse in there. does that mean that even though i (for some reason have manually adjusted mirrors) have heated mirrors or do i need to wire in the full electric mirror setup to get the functionality.
