I'm just curious if anyone here when standing outside can hear their clutch when shifting gears.

I noticed it when my wife drove away. I could hear the clutch drop into gear. Is this a common thing or could there be something with the clutch or maybe the rear engine mount?

I don't have any clutch problems what so ever.

Just curious....any thoughts?

^^^I agree on the 1-2 noise.
"Shwoop....clunk" going from 1st to 2nd gear. I hear it every morning in the parking garage.
Nothing in other gears though.

The "clunk" is your transmission hitting on the car.... the stock SVT engine/tranny mounts are weak and well known to allow engine "flop"

^^^The "clunk" I'm hearing is internal to the tranny.
I hear a bit of gear rollover as I pull it out of 1st ("shwoop") then the "clunk" once it engages 2nd gear.
I'm only going 5-10mph...in the parking garage...which amplifies the sound quite a bit.
I can't even hear it in everyday traffic, unless I try really hard.

I'm very familiar with the other clunk you're talking about.
Got rid of that a long time ago with the VF Rear Mount. [;)]

Well, at least I'm not the only one guys. I hear it around 1-2 gears as well... Everytime I pass the gate gaurd shack on base I hear it drop to 2nd.

Thanks for your input!

My VF Rear Mount will be in sometime in the Summer.
