I'm new around here so I'm still picking up some ideas for my wagon, and I noticed alot of eyebrows on headlights. Now looking at pictures it looks like most people are spraying paint on the headlight itself, is this the case for the most part or are they actually added ontop of the light?

Most are sprayed on now easier to match stuff and comes out so much better, lasts longer and so forth.

The how-to i made is for a set of 05-07 but applies directly for the 00-04. You just paint on the lens and it comes out wont let light through that area and looks soooo much better.

i have a question eyebrows.

i had kind of a revelation at work today. so i was looking at something with a flashlight and was also holding a board at the same time over the flashlight. what it produced was a cutoff very similar to a hid projector. (so i guess something like this is going on in the projectors for hids)
i know it couldn't be the same as a projector and i'm not saying that i'm going to attempt this, but if you were to put the eyebrow down low enough, would it have a cutoff effect?

rock chip? replace the vinyl, no big deal.
rock chip on painted eyebrow?? lol, sand, repaint, re-clear and HOPE it comes out good again.

best of all, the vinyl can be had for sometimes free! just ask your local place for scraps i your color.

ill be making a vinyl eyebrow how-to in the next few weeks so Robbie and i can compete! lol

im putting a new set on my Mach's as well as an additional how-to for Lamin-X. hell, i might do a how-to on how to disable the seatbelt minder. (although its already located in the owners' manual[hihi]

What I used to do is lay down vinyl for the eye brow, and then scuff it up and paint it to color match. That way I could still take it off. It takes a steady hand and a good eye to get just right but I think it works the best.

If you paint the eyebrows and you're content on how they look, don't drive with them until you cover your headlights in Lamin-X

I bought those ebay ones and wasnt pleased, too small for my liking so I bought a sheet of vinyl from a local sign shop, made a template and then cut them out and applied them on, did one bottom layer in black and the top layer in white and NO light shines through, they look good also:

I'm a little late to this discussion, but one way to do vinyl lids is with window tint film. Very inexpensive. I have a single layer of 20% cut to fit, and it's held up well for almost 3 years now. A double thick layer would stand out better, so I'll probably do that some time.

That tint looks great, but it also matches your color. I can't imagine it looking as good on, say, yolk yellow or CD silver.
But I'm gonna pick up that cheap crap from autozone soon anyways, so I might as well try it.
