i was cleaning the inside of my car , and i noticed the pass seat belt mount, down by the floor next to the B piller, under a plastic cover where its mounted to the floor, it has some wires going to a plastic part on the belt where its hooked to the floor. it says on the label ( for use with airbag ) well my freestar has this to and it doesnt have side airbags, like my focus. i kno it has to be part of the restraint system. but what part? is it part of the pass airbag deactivation system , or is part of a side impact sensor. dont really need to know just curious. thanks

I think its for the seatbelt pretensioner which ties into the airbag.

i thought that to, but the pretensioner is on the Buckle or latch part. this is were it mounts to the floor on the pass side. the drivers side doesnt have this its just a plan bolt holding it to the floor. thanks
