It's only going to be a matter of time until someone gets some work down on the fenders/bumpers and widens the car

I think they could do better than just a bolt on looking rendering like this:
Rendering: 2016 Ford Focus RS Wide Body - Motorward

Marry it to the front bumper better and not go nearly as wide.
its happening here already some are fitting flared arches going for that ken block car look and some tuners here are doing things like this with wrapping and new alloys

From my time on the RS forums...

- Euro ppl have/are getting their cars
- US ppl are still waiting for their cars to be:
+ Scheduled or Built (some have some haven't)
+ Get on a boat
+ have reached the US, but Ford has placed a hold order on them and they are at the docks.
we have had them for nearly 2 months here in the uk

Whats even funnier is the Mustang is now being exported to Europe and selling. Not so long ago, the Mustang was looked down on compared against European sport cars. They get a good Mustang and we get a great hot hatch, works out

your not wrong and the mustang here costs a fortune, this is my buddys one which cost around $60k

I got the call last Thursday that the car was delivered and ready to be picked up. However I had to find one in Georgia since every one in SC was sold forever ago. Been in anticipation all week to pick it up this saturday. So I should have mine on 6/18.

Well after a 18 hour day of driving and dealing with the dealership I finally took ownership of my RS. I'm about 300 steady miles on it after my trip, I'm going to wait until about 3000 miles before I flog it at all but even with only half throttle and nothing over 3500rpm it's still an amazing car even in normal drive mode.

I'll be playing with the damping settings and rim and tires too because it is a pretty stiff bouncy ride which a lot of I believe has to do with the fact they want almost 50psi in the tires just to hold the weight of the car because they picked such a "small" tire. I did nothing but rims and tires for about 8 years before we expanded and opened our repair shop so I know I can find a wheel and tire combo that will hold the weight with less air pressure.

And I'm not a big fan of the auto start/stop technology when you come to a light, especially in a turbo car. But it's not a big deal since you can disable it easily.

I also recommend the RAP protection plan if they offer it to you. It's about 2000 extra but ford will cover literally everything on the car up to 75000 miles even for natural wear and tear and it also covers any aftermarket parts. So if i bought some volk wheels and broke 1 of them ford will buy me another volk wheel. If i flog it to death and kill the turbo or the trans or engine, ford will replace it at no cost. And in my situation ford will pay for ANY parts that break on it AND pay me to install them in my own car since I'm certified. I made sure of that because the last warranty work I had done at the Ford dealer on my last focus was pitiful and I had to do it again myself 15000 after they "fixed" it.

Anyways I'll post pics and stuff later today, I'm about to go for a drive haha

Haha, more than likely it could be a while for that. Most people are getting theirs pretty much the same day of arrival it seems. Unless you get lucky and they hold it for a few days you may be better off finding an owner to take selfies with haha

I'd like to share a story...

Last Saturday I took my wife's ST into our dealership to get an oil change...

Long story short...

I found out a guy backed out on his Nitrous Blue RS2 less than 24 hours before I showed up.

Traded in both my ST's, put 1K down, and now we are waiting delivery of our new RS.

We are told it should be here by the end of the month or any day now. It's on the first phase of RS deliveries so I'm being told we will be the first RS customer to take delivery in Colorado.

They did not budge on the "RS Market Adjustment", but they gave us killer trade in value on the ST's. My blue ST only has 6K on it.

I LITERALLY stumbled upon this car on accident.

Here's a pic of our ST's and a copy of the RS window sticker.

Hell yah bro for sure warranty on a car like this is NECESSARY. Id be pedal all the way done everyday tbh. Im getting the 2017 model when the prices ARENT 5k over msrp. But anyways Im jealous for now. Also what do you do for a job that you can afford one so soon? Just curious. I literally started saving every pay check minus monthly bills. An hopefully I'll have enough to buy the RS while at the same time having a nice stability amount of cash left and extra to spend on modifying it and such.

Found out today that mine is confimed "On US Soil" lol according to my dealer. That's all he knows.

This is freaking killing me with the waiting thing. [?|]

Also...I read on another forum that a guy got a diecast of his RS, a letter, and an invitation to the Miller Motorssports Park kinda like the ST academy thing from Ford Racing.

Any of you guys hear of this?

I went to the dealer today and told him I want all that stuff lmao. He said he's going to call the Ford rep and see what he can do.

I added...while you're at it tell him we what 2 Pewter RS thingies for our faubs, RS tshirts, and 2 RS hats as well since my wife and I will need this. [thankyou]
