hey guys i was wondering if its possible to change the guage cluster thats in my focus to have a tach

i remember reading a thread somewhere on here about someone who changed the in dash guage cluster with one from another focus that had a tach in it.

the only problem with that is those guage clusters come from junked focus's and carry the mileage from the last one it was in.

does anyone know where i can get a new one (or old one) and get it reprogrammed with my curent mileage? and how long and how much it takes and costs to get it reprogrammed?

most dealerships WONT reprogram it for you, unless you buy it new from them, and thats gonna run you around $300. a swap is possible but i see you have an 07, and im not 100% sure but i think that you have to find a cluster from another duratec for it to work....

getting it reprogrammed is quite expensive, and not many place will do that...i would just take the easier route and buy a small aftermarket tach from like auto-meter or something and mount it somewhere..but that's just me....otherwise you will need a gauge cluster from the duratec and, maybe, a tach driver?

there is the thread for the swap...and it will work for the '07, it was just written in '05
