My 2002 Ford Focus SE is making a groaning noise when I turn left only. I could even hear it on the highway when you turn the wheel a little bit to the left, no sound when I turn right or when going straight. It appears that it's from the drivers side front end. I did change the brake rotors and pads last week so I thought maybe the wheel was loose, but all of the lugnuts are tight. Any suggestions what to check. Thanks

Sway bar links possibly but likely strut mount. I just went through the same noise. I replaced sway bar end links and it was still there. Then I checked the strut mount in the driveway just turning the wheel back and forth while listening. It ended up being the strut mount.

I say wheel bearing. Hard to say if left or right bearing, though.
