The SVT is a POS because it's given me problems since the beginning. It has averaged a trip to the shop every 2 weeks since I picked it up. I'm not too keen on paying a $100 deductible every 2 weeks on top of my car payment. I also don't feel like rolling the dice and hoping everything will be covered. So for, not all of it has been. I haven't posted all of the problems that I've had; just a couple of recent ones. Most of the problems it had were not the kind where you can wait for them to pile up and have them fixed all at once.
Oh, my apologies...I'm not omniscient like you. All I saw in this thread was "the spring is digging into the strut, the caliper is bad and the heatshield is loose again." It didn't sound like a huge list of problems, definitely nothing to get rid of the car over. Ah well, to each his own...enjoy your new maintenance-free car...

You don't have to be omnicient; just don't make assumptions. Trust me, my SVT's list of problems is far longer than that.

I never said that I expect the PT to be maintenance free. I didn't expect the SVT to be either. However, I don't feel that parts coming loose, metal-on-metal grinding, and the multiple TSB's that were addressed fall under maintenance. They were repairs, plain and simple.

Anyway, I'm getting out of here. There's really no point in going back-and-forth over this. The bottom line is that I was unhappy with my SVT, and I am happy with my PT. To me, none of this other stuff really matters.

at least its not one of the 100 million "Limited editions" roaming around...and by that, I mean every PT I see is "Limited Edition." Take note...

...and I concour...yuck! You need a lot of speed to make up for ugly...get to work!

hey come on...let the guy go...I think he already got enough crap from here. If we can't respect his decision, we don't have to give him crap either.

Guy has a PT, so frickin what? SVT gave him shit, who are we to say that it actually didn't? I'm sure PT will have it's downfalls just like every car has, not worth getting all spiked up over it.
