[rant] man ive got some problems, okay ill be driveing and bang ill lose everything dash all power then ill pull over turn the key off ,turn the key on start the car and go,man this happened like 4 times on my way to work,and on my way home didnt do it one time,my alter and starter lead wire burnt up man ive got same problems can anyone help

i had some problems like this before my alt. went out! i hope its not that but its something to think about.

The first thing i would check are fuses and look for loose grounds, i had similar problems on a saturn and it was just a loose ground wire.

Check the batt do you need to clean the terminals? Check for loose grounds, there should be 3 major ones in the engine bay.

if your starter and alternator wire are burt then your are grounding them somewhere. they will not blow any fuses because they are directly to the battery.

check that your alternator wire is not touching the egr tube and shorting out it happened to me i had to put a rubber hose between it. now i dont have the egr
