OK-

i'm trying to figure out the specs on some new tires i just got tonight. they weren't the ones that were supposed to come with my package, so i'm trying to figure out if i got jipped or if they helped me out and gave me something better than i asked for. the tires are:

Wanli Tires s-1099 205/40/17

i've searched the internet for about the past hour and can't even find specs. all i have found out is that they are a cheaper version of yokohamas. if anyone knows a good site or just has a review of these tires in general, please let me know.

Thanks

Mike

I have never heard of that brand before and I've hung out at far too many tire stores. Check the sidewall and see if it has a Dept. of Transportation (DOT) certification or approval molded in the sidewall. All street tires must have this to be legally sold for street use in the U.S. The reason i mention this is that if they don't you can use it as leverage to return the tires if you don't like them. If you have in writing that a different tire was suppose to come with the package and there were no disclaimers that they had the right to make substitutions you could request your district attorney's consumer affairs office to look into the matter for you. That will however take time. Be tactful ...threats and nasty phone calls will make less willing to correct the problem in a timely fashion.
